We often get asked “ what is Forest School?” Forest School is a philosophy, an approach to education , which allows each learner to access and thrive within their own areas of interest. Forest School is child lead, intrinsically motivated and facilitated by experienced and professionally qualified leaders.
Through our Forest School training, learners are guided through an extensive range of practical skills development which is complemented with theoretical underpinnings and given a thorough understanding of the skills required to develop their own Forest School provision.
A deep recognition of the “social pedagogy” is often evident during training, partially during the less formal campfire cooking and feasting which is a highlight of our time together.
